The purpose of the role is to make our empty container inventory available to our customers, on time and in full, so that we can deliver on our commercial commitments, at the lowest possible cost. This entails planning an executing the equipment moves so that we have the right amount of empty containers where we need them to cover the expected demand, or they are returned quickly to the network when there is excess. Managing the inventory also entails deciding and executing the container maintenance and repair strategy, to return damaged containers to the fleet as quickly and as cost effectively as possible.

E & E Manager Germany & Austria

You will be responsible for all Equipment and EMR activies for the following locations: Germany and Austria. You will be leading a teams with a total FTE of 13 E&E operators based in Germany and Rotterdam. You are responsible to drive the right culture across the team whilst delivering on the business results.
Your team needs to deliver a high customer experience by making sure equipment, in the right conditions and the right time (on time in full), is available to cover the expected demand while managing the trade off between availability and cost. The team needs to properly understand the customer demand patterns by maintaining good communication and collaboration with the commercial teams (area and ROM) and work with the supply side, coordinating with the rest of the fulfillment teams, to ensure the plans are successfully delivering the required availability. Your team is a key enabler for the areas to fulfill their business plan and you only win when the area wins.
Together with the Benelux E&E Manager, you will form the NEC E&E Management Team and devise and implement a positioning plan that meets the forecasted demand, whilst striving to balance surplus and deficit pools of equipment. Maintenance & Repair of damaged units will be tied into the same plan and your team will manage a network of vendors and their performance towards the highest quality and speed, to minimize asset off time, whilst driving down cost.

  • Equipment and EMR transformation
  • All Equipment and EMR spend for Germany and Austria
  • Vessel utilization (all services calling BRV/HAM/WHV)
  • Equipment utilization
  • Claims recovery

Consulted about:
  • Stock Development/availability (all EQU types)
  • Transformation of Equipment and EMR
  • Status/progress on E-EIR implementation
  • Status/progress on e-care initiatives
  • Performance review vendors
