The Apple System-RF Engineering team is looking for a wireless systems engineer to work on RF propagation simulations and antenna research. We’re looking for self-driven and motivated engineers with good fundamentals in RF / wireless / electromagnetic theory & antenna design.


Key Qualifications

  • Expertise in at least one EM simulation tool (e.g. HFSS, CST, SEMCAD), focus on propagation on human body is a plus
  • 2 - 4 years industry or graduate research experience in antenna design or applied electro-magnetics
  • Excellent interpersonal / communication skills required, both written & verbal
  • Experience working with RF/Antenna lab equipment is preferred: e.g. anechoic chambers, network analyzers, signal analyzers, call boxes (e.g. CMW), channel emulators etc.
  • Programming ability in Python and/or Matlab (or equivalent) is preferred
  • Research & publication experience is preferred

Create simulation models of antennas & EM propagation including human body, and verify simulation findings with measurements Create and develop study methodologies for wireless performance evaluation. Collect, analyze and publish both simulation and measurement data internally & cross-functionally within Apple Deliver clear design recommendations and assessments to cross-functional teams including Product RF/Antenna systems and RF software Ideal candidates will possess an energetic personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility

Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field. PhD/Doctorate preferred
