Microsoft is building an Arm-based cloud platform to run scale-out workloads globally with high efficiency.

  • Engage with customers, the open-source community, and Microsoft developers for Arm-based ecosystem development and workload optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure customer and business requirements are met.
  • Assist in gathering and processing information required from customers; help translate high-level requirements and architecture designs into low-level designs and implementations.
  • Assist in the design of reliable, scalable, and high-performance Arm-based VM features with the guidance from other engineers.
  • Assist in identifying deficiencies in existing systems and designs with guidance from other engineers.
  • Develop software and solutions that run on Azure Compute Arm-based VMs with high code quality and diagnostic capability.
  • Contribute to the development of automation tools; contribute to testing and validation of Arm-based VMs; define and implement test cases.
  • Support the management of incidents to diagnose and triage issues with the guidance from other engineers.


Required Qualifications:
  • 2 years of technical experience in cloud infrastructure design, development, and automation.
  • Passion for technology and quality with a strong customer focus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in Arm-based servers is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in performance analysis and tuning is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in computer architecture design.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
