The Digital Sales Center in Barcelona is the international hub supporting the business in all Europe, working very closely with the local countries. The biggest strength of the DSC is to be a Talent Academy where people can develop their skills in a sales environment preparing themselves for future challenges, at the same time demonstrating their capabilities in sales.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work towards completing?
During the first 6 months the successful person will pass through 3 different types of learning: attending classes, observing others, doing. At the end of the first 6 months, you will be assigned to your first permanent role to put in practice the learning of the first phase.
Coaching and Mentoring programs will be offered to support your path.
Your responsibilities will increase along the journey arriving to be completely autonomous and responsible for your role and results.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
At the DSC we manage the complete sales cycle, but in the first year you will focus more on the first part of the process: developing new business and supporting the sales territory strategies.
You will work very closely to the field reps and specialist in country, contributing to the strategies set for achieving the revenues goal assigned to the territory. Training, networking and soft skills development will be the key for being successful in the role.
During the Academy you will learn:
- How to quote offers to customers
- How to establish your sales strategies and priorities to achieve the assigned goals
- How to create new business opportunities and speaking with customers
- How to partner the ecosystem structure, establishing relationships with them
- How to work in partnerships with the sales team: only you can achieve your goals, but with others help.
What is the Leadership like for this Role? What is the Structure and Culture of the Team Like?
The role reports to Silvia Rosino who is the Senior Manager of Early Talent Emerging Careers and is responsible for the Sales Graduates in the DSC. Thanks to her sales experience acquired in different roles, her people development focus and her experience in coaching people (who is also an Executive Coach, with ICF credentials) you will be supported along all the Academy journey to maximise your potential while developing your natural sales skills.
At the same time the managers working on the small and medium business (Commercial managers) will offer you the perspective on the business and the link to the countries we are supporting from the DSC, supporting you in your networking development.

Where is this Role Located?
This role is based out of VMware’s state-of-the-art Digital Sales Centre in Barcelona which is home to a vibrant, diverse, and talented team of professionals from across Europe. The DSC is based in the centre of the IT district.
The role is open to candidates in Europe that are fluent English speakers.
