Research within the Department is anchored in an understanding of the cooperation between markets, organizations and individuals. It encompasses a variety of areas from evolutionary models of organization to new exotic forms of consumption. It is the ambition of the Department to be in the international frontline in these areas and to seek synergy between research, teaching and knowledge dissemination. Research at the Department is organized in five research units. See the Department website for more details.

The research unit Management of People was established in 2015. It defines itself as an organizational studies/critical management team and within this overall framework it conducts research in areas such as Human Resource Management and work life, organizational communication and leadership. The group is dedicated to teaching at bachelor programs such as HA and in particular at the HA profile in Human Resource Management (SDU Campus in Slagelse) and at the Master program (cand.merc.) in Human Resource Management at the main campus in Odense. Furthermore, close connections to and interactions with practitioners are highly prioritized by the group. Finally, members of the group are currently engaged in establishing the Intercultural Competencies Platform at the Department of Marketing & Management.

The successful applicant is expected to hand in a research proposal that fits the agenda and profile of the Management of People group. Furthermore, the applicant is expected to contribute with teaching and knowledge exchange besides delivering research outputs at the highest possible level.
