Do you dream about doing your thesis project in collaboration with Novo Nordisk, Novozymes, Chr. Hansen, Kalundborg Refinery or some other corporation from Kalundborg’s biotech cluster?
Helix Lab is an education and research center in Kalundborg which strengthens collaboration between industry and research. It supports and accelerates the translation of new academic research into specific solutions that drives industry 4.0 and the green transformation in the industry.
Helix Lab gives MSc students the possibility to do master thesis work in collaboration with the Kalundborg industry. Students who are awarded a Helix Lab fellowship get free housing at Kalundborg Kollegium, while they do their thesis work in Kalundborg.
Application for a Helix Lab fellowship requires establishment of a project collaboration between a industry specialist, a university supervisor and a MSc student.
The ambition is to create an attractive test and learning community that educates and develops talents locally, and at the same time strengthens the collaboration between the universities and Kalundborg bioindustry regarding research and innovation.
Helix Lab provides leverage for developing the Kalundborg bioindustry into an international cluster for industry 4.0 bioproduction and industrial sustainability. The bioindustry cluster counts international actors such as Novo Nordisk, Novozymes, Kalundborg Refinery, Chr. Hansen and more than 5,000 industry workplaces and one of the largest bioproduction facilities in the world.
