The company aims to develop a ML learning engine that helps to predict batch deviations within production. This is a highly important field within a field as it helps to reduce cost (waste) occurred due to deviations. Therefore, it is important to understand first where most deviations occur based on historical data, classify them and predict the future likelihood for events as such. The Machine Learning algorithm will come into play to classify and predict % of batch deviations within the Quality Management System (QMS). To build an algorithm, we would have QMS data ready - data is cleaned, however some preprocessing (e.g. regularization) might be needed depending which algorithm we want to choose to develop on. The scope and algorithm choice is up to us to decide based on what we think is the best to reach accuracy of the output.
We would have a manager helping us to understand processes and providing guidance if we need one. We have some materials ready to read from the company as they had several attempts to develop it.
I would expect someone within the field of data science, computer science, data analytics or similar. Some programming/ML experience would be nice.
My deadline to submit a thesis proposal is May 14 2021. Therefore, I would expect to hear from you as soon as possible that we could both decide on delimitations of Thesis and select supervisor.
